What is it?

Djooky Inc. is a streaming platform for songwriters whose ambition is to democratize globally the music industry. Officially launched in April 2020, its efforts have been constant to maintain an ecosystem where musical talent knows no borders.

The challenge

Develop communication strategies in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru to give visibility to the winter and spring 2021 editions of the Djooky Music Awards (DMA) contest, bring new participants and increase the number of subscribers on the platform

Action plan

LatAm Intersect PR has developed strategies to reach composers and music lovers, including alliances with Music Associations and Composers in all countries, as well as the main media dedicated or not to the entertainment sector, contact and engagement of award candidates to conduct interviews and to leverage the platform among your potential audience. We also engage candidates from current and past seasons for cuotes and interviews.

Results

In the first month of action, when the winter season was already ending, despite of it we secured 15 interviews and got 130 publications on radio, TV, magazines and online media, including tier 1 of the music niche. This represents an estimated 1.3 million audience reach. With the strategies implemented, the number of subscribers per country also increased by 1000%, as in Chile, which jumped from 3 to 40 composers registered, as the same in the other countries. For the spring season, we worked for two months to achieve the KPIs of more registration  on the platform, more candidates for competition, and greater brand visibility. The results were also incredible, such as an interview with Brian Malouf, CEO of DJooky for the Brazilian Rolling Stones – the most important magazine in the music market. We publish articles in wide-ranging media such as Olhar Digital, Flipboard, Portal Terra and Jornal do Rap (Brazil); Latam Notícias and Página 12 (Argentina); El Economista America, TVN and Rádio Cooperativa (Chile); ADN Digital e Humana Radio (Colômbia), El Universal, Televicentro and Altavoz Radio (México).
